About College

Erstwhile Vyas Velley Private College was taken over by Government in the year 6th of February, 2007 and renamed as Kunwar Durga Chand Memorial Government Degree CollegeJaisinghpur.
Kanwar Durga Chand was one of the towering personality of Himachal Pradesh in the field of social service and politics.He served as a member of Himachal Pradesh State Assembly from 1967-77 and as a Member of Parliament in sixth Lok-Sabha from 1977-79 from Kangra Parliamentary Constituency.
At present college has its own well-furnished Building with sufficient Lecture Theatres, Smart Class Rooms, Laboratories, Computer lab, Library, Gym and Sports Complex, Girls Common Room and well connected Wi-Fi network.

There are 11 Departments in the college. They are the Department of Mathematics, Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry, Department of Biology, Department of English, Department of Hindi, Department of History , Department of Economics, Department of Political Science, Department of Physical Education & Department of Commerce, catering to three faculties in the college: Science, Arts and Commerce.
