The first batch of Psychology started functioning in the college from the year 2023. Psychology Department provides bachelors in psychology for 3 years. Students can opt for a major or minor course in Psychology at the time of admission in first year. Final year students can choose psychology as a generic subject for 1 year.
Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour and mental processes. The subject studies Basic Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Psychopathology, Social Psychology, Substance Use Disorder etc. It covers wide range of topics such as individual differences, learning, motivation personality, growth and development, intelligence etc. Comprehensive knowledge of subject is taught in theory classes and applied knowledge is learned in practical classes.
Courses in psychology are BA, B.Sc, MA / M. Sc, M. Phil, PhD.
Jobs are available in colleges, companies, industries, hospitals industries, NGO's schools etc.
Psychology graduates can also work as counsellor, psychologist, wellness teacher, lecture, Professor etc.
